Introduction

General purpose building wire for services, feeders and branch circuits.
Temperature rating not to exceed:
THHN/THWN: 90°C dry and dump, 600V
THHN/THWN: 75 °C wet or in oil, 600V
THWN-2: 90°C Dry, wet or in oil,600V
THHN conductors are primarily used in conduit and cable trays for services, feeders, and branch circuits in commercial or industrial applications as specified in the National Electrical Code. Voltage for all applications is 600 volts.
THHN/THWN-2 Conforms to following standards:
UL83 for Thermoplastic Insulated Wire and Cables(THHN/THWN-2)
UL758 for Appliance Wiring Materials(AWM)
UL1063 for Machine Tool Wire(MTW)(Stranded Conductor Only).

Household Appliances

Type THHN/THWN-2 building wire is intended for general purpose applications as defined by the National Electrical Code (NEC). Type THHN-THWN-2 is permitted for new construction or rewiring for 600-volt applications. Applications requiring Type THHN or THWN-2, the conductor is appropriate for use in wet or dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90°C or not to exceed 75°C in oil or coolants.

Light Household Devices

Applications requiring Type MTW conductor is appropriate for use in dry locations at 90°C, or not to exceed 60°C in wet locations or where exposed to oils or coolants. Applications requiring Type AWM conductor is appropriate for use at temperatures to not exceed 105°C in dry locations.
